The Post That Made Me Lose Followers (and Find Peace)
I’m loving this trend on social media right now:
“Unfortunately, I do love…”
And then people list the things that make them who they are.
So here’s mine:
Women who are assets, never liabilities
Naps
Being sassy as f*ck
Red wine
Teaching in The Hive™
Giving the middle finger to religion (not God)
Surfing baby waves
My wife and our boys
It’s fun. It’s freeing.
And honestly? It’s a powerful filter.
Because when you show who you really are, people can decide.
Are they for you or not?
Even though I know that’s a good thing, I still struggle with it sometimes.
When I post about my wife, I lose followers.
And I catch myself wondering if I should pull back.
But then I remember something important:
I don’t need the world to love me.
I love me.
The universe loves me.
And I really only need a few of you to love me deeply.
Because your people can’t find you if you’re hiding half of who you are.
The Truth About Losing Followers
Losing followers used to sting.
It felt personal. Like rejection.
But over time, I realized something freeing.
The people who leave were never going to buy from you anyway.
They were never meant to stay.
And every time they go, they make space for the right ones to come in.
When you post from a place of truth, you attract people who see you and feel seen too.
Your Challenge This Week
Share what gives you energy.
Post something that feels like you.
Be unafraid to lose a few followers.
Because every time you do, you get closer to your real people — the ones who are meant to walk beside you.
Right there with you,
Ash 💛
