Do Not Call It For The Year Yet: How To Finish Strong When Everyone Else Is Slowing Down

When the world slows down, leaders speed up

We are in the season where coasting feels natural.
Holidays are coming. Emails slow down. Everyone feels sleepy.

But finishing strong is a choice.
A deliberate one.

And this year I made a bold decision to keep myself in motion:
I signed up to run a half marathon on Thanksgiving.
Four weeks to train. No logical reason to do it.
But I wanted to end the year with intention, not autopilot.

That decision shifted everything in my work and I want that same spark for you.

1. Choose a last minute goal that stretches you

It does not have to be a marathon.
It can be a final revenue push, launching a new service, or filling your remaining client spots.

Pick something.
Commit fully.
Move quickly.

Bonus points if it is something physical since physical goals build mental momentum.

2. Follow up like it is your job

Because it is.

Go through every conversation that fizzled out.
Send a quick, friendly message.
“Did you ever decide about [insert service]?” is often all it takes.

Money loves clarity and follow through.

3. Simplify your offer so it is an easy yes

Clear beats clever every single time.
Holiday brains want simple decisions.

One offer.
One outcome.
One clear path.

If you need help streamlining it, just reply.

4. Build urgency into your content

Speak to the client who is ready now.
Try:
“You still have six weeks to…”
“Start 2026 already in motion.”

You are not rushing people.
You are guiding momentum.

5. Protect your energy

This is not about working harder.
It is about choosing the moves that matter and releasing the ones that drain you.

Ease is a business strategy.

Lock in momentum for 2026

If you want to roll into the new year with clarity and confidence, save this date:
December 4 at 9 AM ET.
Something powerful is coming to help you walk into 2026 already in motion.

Let us finish this year proud.
