Clear Communication = Cleaner Cash Flow
Yesterday, I told you about #bringRoniback.
If you didn’t read it, it’s worth your two minutes.
I gave you three lessons that experience taught me.
Here’s the fourth:
Clear, kind communication is non-negotiable.
For the first 32 years of my life, I avoided confrontation.
I was taught to be seen and not heard.
Anyone else?
Here’s what that avoidance gave me:
A marriage I was unhappy in
A business that looked great from the outside but was chaotic inside
A version of me that was more shell than self
There’s a cost to silence — and I paid it.
But I needed every single one of those lessons to become who I am today.
Who I Am Today
I am a super communicator.
I lead with clarity.
I speak with kindness.
I ask before I give feedback.
I set expectations before anyone has a chance to fail.
This didn’t come naturally. It came through fire.
And now, I help my clients do the same.
Yes, growing an email list matters.
Yes, writing better hooks can help.
But if you can’t communicate clearly — to clients, to staff, to yourself —
you’ll hit ceilings over and over again.
Want cleaner cash flow?
Start with cleaner communication.
Try This:
Take the last thing you communicated and run it through this framework:
Would my 8-year-old self understand this?
Is it repeatable?
Is it broken into small, actionable steps?
Does it include a timeline?
One of my mentors, Chris Cooper, said this during the pandemic:
“When you think you’ve communicated enough, you’ve barely scratched the surface.”
It was true in 2020.
It’s still true in 2025.
Super Communicator,
Ash
P.S. I shared my go-to framework for clear client conversations on my Stories today.
